SERVICES / MANUFACTURING & PROJECT SUPPORT
OEM and ODM Jewelry Support for Component and Product Development
Define who supplies the design and what sourcing, assembly or development support you need. Build an OEM or ODM brief around agreed scope and responsibilities.
Choose the Right Route for Your Jewelry Project
A project does not always need a broad OEM or ODM arrangement. Use the table to identify a starting point; each route is subject to review.
| Route | Your starting point | Main question | Next step |
|---|---|---|---|
| Standard component sourcing | A list of existing parts and quantities | Do suitable components meet your specifications? | Review product categories and send your list. |
| Multi-component coordination | Several categories or SKUs | Which options and coordination arrangements fit the order? | Discuss your component list and manufacturing or wholesale requirements. |
| Assembly | Components and a finished-piece or semi-finished design | Can the requested assembly operations be arranged? | Share assembly instructions and approval requirements. |
| Semi-custom development | An existing design or component to modify | Can the proposed changes be made? | Share the starting design and requested changes. |
| Custom component development | A drawing or idea for a made-to-design part | Is the part feasible within the project requirements? | Submit drawings and specifications for review. |
| OEM/ODM support | A product concept or design involving several project stages | Which responsibilities and resources are needed? | Submit a project brief for scope review. |
Standard Components and Multi-Category Sourcing
List existing components with use, dimensions, materials, finish and quantity. For several categories, discuss sourcing or multi-component coordination and confirm available options and order responsibilities.

Assembly and Finished-Piece Support
Show how parts form the finished or semi-finished piece using a list, drawing, image or sample reference. Confirm operations, inspection and packaging responsibilities before agreeing scope.
Semi-Custom and Custom Development
For semi-custom work, identify the existing component and proposed change. For made-to-design parts, provide your design and specifications. Confirm modification limits, tooling, samples and production arrangements.

What OEM or ODM Support May Need to Cover
OEM and ODM are useful starting terms, but they do not define the work each party will do. Discuss the following topics before settling on a project scope.
Product and Design Scope
Identify the jewelry form, intended use and components, with drawings, images or sample references. Specify dimensions, materials, color, finish, logo requirements and measurements at component connections.
Development Responsibility
Agree who supplies the design, approves changes, coordinates samples, confirms specifications and approves the final version. Define tasks for COAOCO, your team and other parties.
Brand, Packaging and Intellectual Property Requirements
Include private-label, logo and packaging requirements. Agree artwork ownership and permitted use, confidentiality and intellectual property permissions, with project-specific branding and packaging arrangements.
How a Project Can Be Reviewed
The following sequence can help both parties define the request. The actual steps and responsibilities depend on the project.
1. Submit the Project Brief
Provide product, market, quantity and timing, with parts, drawings, images, materials, finishes and packaging. Confirm accepted files and physical sample arrangements before submission.
prepare a custom jewelry brief · upload OEM or ODM project specifications
2. Confirm the Proposed Route
Review whether sourcing, multi-component coordination, assembly, semi-custom or custom development fits the brief. Feasibility and acceptance depend on the project review.
3. Review Samples, Specifications and Approval Points
Confirm sample needs and availability, revision reviewers and final approvers. Define acceptance criteria, fit and finish checks, inspection and approval records; agree the project’s inspection scope.
4. Confirm Commercial and Delivery Conditions
Request written pricing basis, quantities and MOQ, sample or tooling charges, lead time, packaging, shipping responsibility and delivery arrangements for the project.
When OEM/ODM Support May Not Be the Best Starting Point
Use sourcing for existing parts, coordination for multiple categories, assembly for defined construction, semi-custom for modifications and custom development for a new part. Confirm the route against your brief.
Information to Send for a Useful Evaluation
Include intended product and use, a BOM, sketches or CAD, references, connection dimensions and tolerances, materials and finishes, authorized artwork, quantities, market, packaging, sample stage, timing and acceptance criteria. Mark undecided details.
Questions to Confirm Before an OEM or ODM Quote
COAOCO must confirm each applicable item for the specific project. Use these questions to identify the information and documents to request before placing an order.
